Johann Carta indicted last November
At the end of November, the current president of the club, Johann Carta, had been indicted for “extortion”, “fraud”, “laundering in an organized gang” and “criminal association” within the framework of a judicial investigation opened by the Specialized interregional jurisdiction (JIRS) of Marseille. He was remanded in custody and his bank account was blocked.
Another JIRS investigation targets the Corsican club, administratively downgraded to National 3 in the summer of 2021. This resulted in the summoning of three of its successive presidents – Olivier Miniconi, Christophe Ettori and Mathieu Messina – who will be judged. on February 8 and 9 for concealed work and misuse of corporate assets. This file of social fraud has its source in the sprawling financial affair involving the alleged leaders of the Corsican criminal gang of the “Petit Bar” investigated by the JIRS of Marseille.
